I was born in England and grew up in Toronto, Canada. In my twenties I worked in the music industry as a Manager, a Booking Agent, an Executive Assistant for "Solid Gold Records", and a Concert Production Coordinator. In 1980 I worked production on "HEATWAVE", the first Canadian New Wave concert which drew 50,000 people. In my thirties I worked as an Executive Assistant for CTV, then moved to Chum Television as an Office Manager, and then an Account Executive for their Broadcast Sales Division. In my forties, I left the Entertainment Industry and went to work in my family's business, and began my studying in yoga. In my late forties, looking for an adventure, I moved to beautiful British Columbia where I learned to be more in tune with nature. I enjoyed five years in Bristish Columbia, but then felt a pull back to my roots of Toronto where I enjoy being closer to my son, and long time friends. I also live part time on Hillsboro Beach in Florida.
Y O G A E X P E R I E N C E S : In 1997 I experienced my first Iyengar Yoga class, and I was hooked. Shortly afterwards I entered the Teacher Training Program at the Yoga Centre Toronto and began teaching in 1999. I began my studies in the area of special needs by apprenticing in special needs classes and over the years have worked with students who suffer from various injuries and malaise. I have also worked with sports enthusiasts (kayakers, runners, golfers, skiers, and swimmers), to improve their focus, balance, flexibility, strength, endurance, and overall performance. I have also worked privately with Ironman Tri-athletes on diet, yoga practice, and meditation. In 2007 I began a journey of further study with Dona Holleman, founder of Centered yoga in Soiano Italy. I continue to travel to Italy twice a year to study with her.
